How much is that doggie in the window?
I've been to 3 shelters and 2 adoption fairs this week, looking for a
new four-legged friend to keep me company. There are some really cute
dogs out there, but I really just haven't met my perfect pal yet. I saw
a couple of total sweeties, but both of them had issues along the lines
of "loves people and other dogs, but driven by an obsessive urge to rid
the earth of all cats." A great number of cats live between my house
and the beach at the end of my street, and I can't imagine having to run
a kitty gauntlet everytime I wanted to go to the beach. Oh well, I'll
keep searching.
Like a pain in the neck, only lower
I have no idea what I did to myself, but my back is completely kajacked and has been for almost 2 weeks now. The lower left side is unhappy and rather than letting me know how to fix it, the damn thing is just bitching and moaning. Kinda like me. I think all I say anymore is "gawd, ya'll, my back is killing me."
A friend gave me this crystal patch thing to put on it last night. Yes, it's a crystal. Yes, that is kinda earthy crunchy hippie. Know what though? I'm kinda earthy crunchy hippie, and it works. So far this crystal thingie has done the best job of eliminating a major chunk of pain of all the stuff I've tried. The fistfuls of Aleve I've been popping like M&Ms are not doing nearly as good of a job and are probably wrecking my kidneys. Hopefully whatever magic the crystal has in it is going to make all this go away and I can start getting in and out of my car without making old lady noises. Or smelling like an old lady from all the
Salonpas I've been plastering on myself.
In other news, On July 1 I am moving from the little cottage where I live to the big house across the patio from me. The master bedroom has really nice green walls, but they don't match my duvet cover. I have been toying with the idea of making a quilt for just ages, and I think the time may have come to stop thinking and start doing. The only thing is, I really like using a comforter, so I think what's going to happen here is that I'll have a cool piecework duvet cover, with no batting or actual quilting work.
