Happy valentines day.
Hey kids. I just went to an anti-valentines day karaoke night with two
girlfriends. None of us are anti-valentine oriented, but it sounded like
fun, and you know what? It was! The only songs you could sing were of
the good-love-gone-bad or unrequited-love variety, which in and of
itself was a hoot. There's a lot of songs that fall into those
categories. I will survive. You give love a bad name. Lola. Total
eclipse of the heart. And so on....
Anyway, we drank, we danced, we sang, and we were appreciative audience
members for the other folks who sang. And we ate chicken strips and
fries with ranch dressing, which pretty rounded out the evening. It was
awesome!!!
Snow day!!!
Ya'll my trip to indy this week has been cancelled by snow. Woohoo!!!!
Sweet treats from a sweet pal!
Ya'll, I just got a box from my secret pal! Well, actually, the box got here over the weekend, but my landlady picked up the mail while I was out of town and then she went out of town, and it took a few days for us to both be in the same place at the same time. My pal,
Ashley, rocks! She made me a wonderful pair of black fingerless gloves (I'm wearing them right now!), and sent me a whole bunch of notions (remember when I lost my stuff on the train?), and two skeins of Cascade Sierra Quatro in the greatest muted orange. I love it! I'm going to make a purse out of it. And as it that wasn't enough, she also sent chocolate and an enourmous bar of the most luscious smelling French soap. I don't know whether to eat it or bathe with it, it smells so good. And the newest knitscene, which is going to keep me company tonight, and I can't wait to sit down and dive into it! Thanks pally, you're the best!
