End of an era
My grandmother died today. She had been ill for a long time
(alzheimers), so in many ways it is a peaceful ending for her. I am
going home to Arkansas tomorrow morning.
I'm actually looking forward to it. The funny thing about funerals is
that so often it's the only time you get to see certain friends and
relatives. Folks whose company you enjoy but for one reason or another
you just don't keep in touch. I'm sure I'll see some cousins I haven't
seen in years, and it will seem odd that grammie isn't in the kitchen
cooking something for us all to eat.
Of course I will be knitting all weekend. Grammie was a big fan of
needlework and thought everyone should have some sort of project to work
on to keep them sane. I'm a definite proponent of that thought.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We should all knit in honor of your Grandma.
My deepest sympathies.
