It's tax time!

I'm trying to get my taxes done. This means I am grubbing around trying to find all the pieces and parts and papers and totaling mileage and parking and expenses for last year. I am not even going to attempt to transfer all that stuff to a tax form, I'm letting H&R Block's online tax service do it for me. All I have to do is fax and email all my stuff to the nice lady who is assigned to me.

At the moment I think she has the better end of the deal though, because it's taking me ages to get all this stuff together. I wasn't as diligent as I should have been by totaling up all this stuff every quarter last year. Now I have to do it all at once. Ugh. Oh well. It's not that big of a deal in the long run. Plus it keeps me from thinking about Kyoto. Sheesh.

I think I am going to make myself a long skinny scarf, which the March Lucky Magazine says is one of the 5 must have accessories for spring. I've got a nice lime green cotton yarn in my stash that I've been trying to figure out what to do with for about a year, and I think it will be lovely. It looks like a bunch of little green circles stitched together. My camera is in my project bag, right next to Kyoto and I am afraid to go near it right now or else I'd take a picture of it.

In other news I made salmon croquettes for dinner tonight. I hate fresh salmon (too fishy for my tastes) but I adore canned salmon. And these came out really nice, if I do say so myself. I cooked them in a little olive oil and that is definitely a very good thing.
