I'm getting bored with Kyoto

I've been totally focused on Kyoto for about a week now, and I'm not working on anything else really. I haven't wanted to work on anything else. But now I have the 7-day itch. I need another project. Usually I have a couple of projects going at the same time but right now I don't. I need to start something else so I can go back to enjoying Kyoto and not dreading the drudgery of millions of stitches per inch/ row.

Speaking of drudgery, today I sorted through about a zillion boxes I got out of my storage space. It was Caesar Chavez Day and the Great State of California, my client, is closed today. I had the whole day off and I spent it working my way to the bottom of the mess in the garage. I've had some stuff in storage since I moved here from New Orleans 5 years ago. Pictures, pots, pans, and a whole lot of just crap. I will be having the mother of all garage sales next weekend. I set up a folding table in the driveway this morning to take advantage of the beautiful weather and just sorted and sorted and sorted. Some boxes held stuff like old glassware and bed linens and those took about 1 minute to go through. Others were full of old cards and letters and notes and pictures from ages ago. Those boxes took much much longer. I started around 10:30 and I finished right at sunset, about 6:30 or so.

I still have a few more boxes to go, but I will be able to get it done next week with no problem. I won't be working on it this weekend though, because I am spending the weekend in Santa Cruz house-/kitty- sitting for Red and her hubby. I will sit on the beach, I will read, I will knit, and I will even manage to get myself back to the Santa Cruz stitch n bitch on Saturday afternoon. I haven't been since January, way back before I moved. Gosh, it's been so long I wonder if anyone will remember me?

I hear you one the getting bored with a single project. I usually have a couple going at the same time too, one long like a sweater and one quick and easy so I can get the high of completion.
