I didn't make it to the meetup
I was totally excited about going to the knitting meetup tonight, but semi-sadly work got in the way. I say semi-sadly because I ended up getting a new project today, which is great! I'm self-employed and this new thing is going to be a very long term engagement. In fact, I am booked up through the end of the year now- yeah! The sad part comes in where I couldn't get myself to the meetup tonight because I was dealing with some administrative stuff for the new project. Oh well. At least I can comfort myself with the thought that I'll be able to afford to keep myself in needles and yarn for a good long while, although I'd have really liked to celebrate with a latte and meeting
