Relapse
Ok, I'm having a relapse, and it stinks. And remember when I said I was hoping I wouldn't cough my way into an aneurysm? Well, I didn't go to such a drastic extreme as that, but I did manage to cough so hard I popped some blood vessels in one eye. The right eye looks fine but the left eye looks a lot like red velvet cake. If it was Halloween this would be a good look, but sadly the timing is off a bit.I finished Red's top and gave it to her last night. Can I just say that this thing screams Rock Star? I ended up pitching out the crocheted strap idea in favor of just using clear elastic. The elastic is absolutely the right thing. I threaded it horizontally through the bottom edge of each triangle and vertically from the top point to just above the bottom elastic strip. The beauty of this is the triangles themselves can be adjusted to whatever size or shape Red wants. It also gives just enough structural integrity and true-to-form fit to it that it totally got rid of that large-breasted cave woman look it was sporting with the non-stretchy straps. Now it looks and acts like a regular bikini top. Not to mention that the invisible straps are oh so hot!
