Guess what I've got
If you guessed the flu you are right! I've got every symptom on the Nyquil bottle plus a few more. Nice. Really nice. It started coming on last night about the time the girls started arriving for our Sunday night stitch 'n bitch. I was a trooper and hung in there till the last gal left at 9:30 or so, then I collapsed in a feverish heap in the bed.In spite of being sick as a dog the SnB was really a lot of fun. A couple of girls were sewing up some funky furry things (fleecy pink boot covers and a multi-colored shaggy shrug), a couple of us knitted, and we also had some beading going on. Here's a few pictures of the festivities.
We had some dinner before hand. I can't cook, and once again I proved how awful at it I really am. Fortunately we had lots of bread and salad to make up for the absolutely flavorless chicken pad thai I made. The wine helped too. Notice the lamp in the back corner- it is sitting on two boxes that still haven't been unpacked yet.

Such shiny happy faces! See the mug in the right hand corner? That's my hot buttered rum. Blayssa, the gal with the knitting needles made it for me. Works better than tea when you don't feel good and you have to be social. I wonder if I could get away with drinking it at work? Probably not.
Even Turbo got in on the act, doing a little modeling of Blayssa's scarf.
Holy cow, it's almost 10:00! I have got to go to bed. 'Night ya'll!
